Obituary

Loving father, brother, son and lifelong resident of the Boston area left this world too soon, Sunday, July 17, 2016.

He is survived by his daughter Taylor Nicole Hamilton, her mother and Billy’s former wife Joyce Capobianco Hamilton, sisters Theresa Hamilton-Casalegno, Ann Zampell, Eileen Bondanza, Mary Ronco, Joanne Hamilton Soule, Lynne Hamilton and nine nieces and nephews. Billy was predeceased by two brothers: John Hamilton and Tom Hamilton.

Born May 29, 1964, to John Francis Hamilton and Gertrude Marion Stoney Hamilton.

Billy grew up in Stoneham, MA, and graduated from Stoneham High School where he was captain of the varsity baseball team. His childhood was filled with his love for his brothers and sisters, and for the American pastime, and he continued to play softball into his adulthood. Despite the challenges that Billy faced throughout his life, his loving, sarcastic and witty personality remained. Billy was loved by everyone he met and had the ability to light up a room with smiles and laughter. Billy passed away at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and the family wishes to thank the Beth Israel staff for their kind and compassionate care for Billy and for the family members, as they came to terms with their sudden loss.

Visiting hours will be held in the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Sunday, July 24, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
