Steven A Crossman, 47 and currently of Hudson, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 17, 2016.
Steven was the son of the late Robert C and Margaret T (Smith) Crossman of Marlborough, MA. He will be missed terribly by many as he leaves behind a daughter, Caitlin Crossman who resides with her mother, Janice Orazine in Rindge, NH, a brother, Robert C Crossman and his wife Janice of Hudson, MA, and two sisters, Janice M MacKinnon and her husband Robert also of Hudson, MA, and Mary A White and her husband Lawrence of Hudson, FL. Steven was also an important part in the lives of his several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
It can be said that Steven “Wedge” led a simple life. Born and raised in Marlborough, MA, he moved to Hudson only 5 years ago. The majority of his day to day life was centered in the area, with friends, family and work close by. He will be remembered as always being there to help out, never expecting anything in return - whether it be an emergency car repair, patching up an “oops” moment, plowing a driveway during the inevitable New England winter or dog sitting.
Steven enjoyed working on cars, and he had a talent for auto body repair and restoration. He recently discovered the “thrill of the find” antiquing with his brother – an old MobilOil sign being one of his greatest discoveries. But his life’s joy was his daughter Caitlin. He was so impressed with her in every way and was always anxious to tell whoever would listen about her latest accomplishment or newest talent.
Please join us in celebrating Steven’s life on Saturday, July 23rd at 1:00 p.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial services will be held privately at a later date in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Saturday, July 23rd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
