Edward M. Sullivan, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2016. Born in 1929 to Edward M. and Isabelle Sullivan, Ed resided in Boston for most of his life.
Ed graduated from Dartmouth College in 1948 and Harvard Law School in 1952. As an attorney, Ed practiced law in the greater Boston area for 55 years. Ed was a bachelor, enjoyed international travel and Porsche cars. As a lifelong member of the Union Boat Club in Boston, Ed enjoyed playing squash for many years.
Ed is predeceased by his parents, and his closest sibling, Joan S. Bucklin, who passed away in 2011. Siblings Isabelle Ryan and James Sullivan also predeceased Ed. Uncle Ed leaves behind his beloved nieces, Susan Cox, Betsy Reddy, Katherine Stearns, and Amy Bucklin and their families.
Uncle Ed’s family thanks the staff at Newton Wellesley Center for Alzheimer’s Care, Wellesley, Massachusetts for the excellent care Ed received during the last year or so of his life.
