Ann E. (Stankiewicz) Hurley, 60, of Hudson, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 18th at Marlborough Hospital.
Ann was born and raised in New Bedford, daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Pendrak) Stankiewicz. She attended local schools and was a 1974 graduate of New Bedford High School. She later received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education from Framingham State College in 1978. Ann spent 17 plus years as a devoted kindergarten teacher with Christ the King Parish School and later with Saint Michael’s Parish Schools. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Parish in Hudson.
Ann will always be remembered by those who loved and knew her as a kind and compassionate person. Her passion in life was helping others; she would often be heard saying, “If you put others first, you’ll never be last.” Ann always enjoyed being with her family and especially looked forward to the family trips to their Time Share at Walt Disney Resorts. Her gentle smile and loving, caring spirit will be forever cherished.
Ann was the loving wife of 35 years to William F. Hurley III of Hudson and loving mother of Kerry (Hurley) Gervais and her husband Pierre of Sterling and William F. Hurley IV of Brooklyn, NY. She was predeceased by her daughter, Katelyn Helen Hurley. She also leaves her cherished and loving grandson Bennett Gervais; her 3 sisters, Pat Carignan of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Joan McGuirk and her husband William of Westford, Susan Arena and her husband Eric of Acushnet and her sister in-law, Jane Stankiewicz, wife of her late brother Stanley Stankiewicz of Marion. She is also survived by her 3 brothers in-law, Michael, James and Thomas Hurley; her sister in-law, Anne Marie Lally along with her many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 23rd at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson.
