Gerald P. Harrington, 91, of New Bedford passed away at home on Sunday July 17, 2016.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Patrick and Mary (Cronin) Harrington, he lived in New Bedford all of his life. He was a graduate of Boston School for the Deaf in Randolph.
He was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Mr. Harrington was formerly employed as a presser at Pine Grove Cleaners for many years until his retirement in 1995.
He was a member of the International Catholic Deaf Association. He was an avid reader.
Survivors include two nieces, Kathleen M. McKenna of Brookline and Anne M. Murphy of Reading; a nephew, Paul J. McKenna of Acushnet; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was the brother of the late Kathleen H. McKenna and John Harrington.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
