William Charles "Bill" Clear, 71, Anderson died on July 17, 2016 at Community Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born August 17, 1944 in Chester, England to William Quledith and Ethel Mary Winifred (Mallia) Clear. He graduated from Ball State University.
Bill worked in the Machine Repair and powerhouse at Delco Remy retiring after 30 years. He then worked at St. John's Medical Center in the powerhouse.
He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and a lifetime member of Fall Creek Conservation Club.
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Ann Auxier (Blue) Clear of Anderson whom he married July 17, 1965, his son, Robert Charles Clear of Pendleton; brother, Michael (Lauren) Clear of North Carolina; his sister, Juanita (Gary) Fulp of Michigan; brother-in-law, Philip (Sandi) Blue of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Allison Clear, Abigail Clear and Andrew Clear all of Pendleton; great-grandson, Vincent Dougherty; several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, daughter-in-law, Melissa Clear; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Everett Marshall; uncle, Charles Mallia of England.
Funeral will be at 12:30 p.m., Friday, July 22, 2016 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Father Daniel Shine of St. Ambrose Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society or Animal Protection League.
