Obituary

Lillian S. Carbone passed away peacefully at the Courtyard Nursing Care Center of Medford on Saturday morning. She was 94. Born and raised in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Catherine (Manoogian) Jamgochian. She was also the step daughter of the late Seroun Jamgochian.

Lillian’s mother died young, leaving Lillian to run the house and care for her sister and brothers. She was a determined and strong woman who set a great example for her family. She married and raised her children in Medford. She embarked on a long career with the Massachusetts Department of Revenue. Her hard work and natural ability with mathematics allowed her to climb the ranks becoming a senior accountant in a field dominated by college educated men. She was devoted to her family and shared a special bond with her grandchildren.

The beloved wife of the late Angelo Carbone, who passed away in 1969, she was a devoted mother to Katherine Tello and her husband Anthony of Medford, Edward Carbone and his wife Patricia of Boxborough, and the late Lawrence Carbone. She leaves her loving grandchildren: Sheryl, Gina, Tony, Tracey, Angelo and Tiffany. She also leaves 12 loving great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her dear siblings: Charles, Edward and Marion Jamgochian.

A funeral service in honor and celebration of her life and faith will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Wednesday July 20th at 11 AM. services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 19 from 4 - 8 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
