Charles S. Agnew age 88 of Canton passed away suddenly July 17th at the Norwood Hospital. Born and raised in Brookline, he graduated from Brookline High School. Charlie served in the Navy during WW II and was a member of the Atomic Veteran’s Assn. He was a member of the Brookline Police department for many years before retiring and also worked as a carpenter. He was a life member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion Post 24, Brookline Elks and the Canton Town Club. In his free time, Charlie enjoyed going to the track, fishing and golf. Beloved husband of Marjorie E. (Jolley). Father of Amy J. Shea of Ashland, Mary E. Martin of N. Quincy, E. Paul Wright of Walpole, Joseph M. Wright of Lakeville, Thomas M. Wright of Canton, John J. Wright of Scarborough, ME and David C. Agnew of Sharon. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday at 11 am. Visiting hours prior to the service Thursday from 9:30 to 11:00 am. Burial Walnut Hill Cemetery, Brookline.
