TEWKSBURY: Paul J. Autiello, Jr., age 70, a resident of Tewksbury for 37 years, died Thursday, July 21, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.
He was the husband of Nancy L. (LaPointe) Autiello with whom he celebrated their 42nd wedding anniversary on July 21st.
Born in Lawrence on June 25, 1935, he was the son of Adele (D’Agostino) Autiello who survives him of Lawrence and the late Paul J. Autiello, Sr.
He attended Lawrence schools and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1953. Following graduation, he attended Suffolk University where he received his degree in accounting.
Mr. Autiello lived in Tewksbury since 1968 and was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in Andover.
Prior to his retirement in 1997, he was employed for over 30 years as an accountant by Ionics, Inc. of Watertown.
Mr. Autiello was an avid golfer and was a member of the Dennis Highlands and Dennis Pines Golf Clubs on Cape Cod. In addition, he enjoyed exercising at Bally’s Health Club in Lowell, walking, gardening and maintaining the landscape of his home.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons; Anthony P. Autiello and his wife Christina of Dracut and Michael J. Autiello of Tewksbury; one granddaughter; Marlaina C. Autiello of Dracut; one sister; Geraldine Dahrouge and her husband Joseph of Pittsfield; two brothers; Eugene Autiello and his wife Lucy of Lawrence and Raymond Autiello and his wife Angie of Haverhill; two aunts; Sandra D’Agostino of Lawrence and Clara Autiello of Methuen; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours Sunday, July 24th from 2-6 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury.
Funeral Monday, July 25th at 9 a.m. from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Monday, July 25th at 10 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggett’s Pond Rd., Andover. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
