Rita M. (McCluskey) Donovan age 97 of Lawrence, MA, died Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
She was born in Lawrence, MA, where she grew up and was educated. She also lived in Methuen for over 40 years.
Rita was a retired Registered Nurse for the former Bon Secours Hospital in Methuen, MA. After her retirement she worked for CVS at the Rockingham Mall in Salem. She enjoyed the beach and rented a cottage every summer in Salisbury for many many years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and taking drives. She loved to stay busy.
Rita was predeceased by her husband Francis L. Donovan, a son John J. and daughter Rita C. Donovan.
She is survived by her son: Leonard A. and his wife Theresa Donovan of Port Orange, FL
Grandchildren: Kevin and his wife Kathleen Donovan, Darlene Donovan, and Keith and his wife Heidi Donovan.
Great Grandchildren: Korey, Kasey, Kelsey, Konnaugh, Megan, and Jack

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 18th at 10 AM at St. Mary the Assumption Church, Lawrence, MA. Cremation will follow. Calling hours will be Sunday, July 17th from 2-6 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA.
