Obituary

Joseph J. Lesiak, Sr. 38, of Hopedale, died peacefully July 13 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester.

Born in Natick, February 28, 1978, the son of Joseph W. and Joanne (Bigelow) Lesiak of Hopedale, Joey was a lifelong Hopedale resident.

He was a 1997 graduate of Blackstone Valley Technical High School. He was an amazing goalie for their championship soccer team.

Mr. Lesiak had been a technician for several area HVAC companies.

Joey loved fishing, riding his four wheeler, shooting BB guns with his son, playing pool, throwing darts, camping, hiking, canoeing and playing “Yatz”.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his son Joseph J. Lesiak, Jr. of Hopedale, his sister Heidianne (Lesiak) Boykin of Blackstone, his nephews Troy Boykin, Jarrett Boykin, and his niece Akasha Quarles, also pre-deceased by his niece Ashawna. Joey leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, July 18 in the West Medway Community Church at 3:00p.m. Burial will be private.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000L Street NW Suite 410, Washington D.C. 20036.
