William A. Francis, 72, of New Bedford died July 13, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
He was the husband of Pamela A. (Valencia) Francis.
Born in Acushnet, the son of the late Charles and Constance (Pacheco) Francis, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
Mr. Francis was formerly employed by Cove Discount Center, Guys Kitchenware and Coaters Inc. before retiring from Brittany Dyeing and Printing Company.
He was a former coach for Morse Cutting Tools team at Greater New Bedford Little League. He enjoyed building model cars and listening to music.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Eric W. Francis of New Bedford; a daughter, Melissa A. "Missy" Francis and her companion Matthew Cousens of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Charles J. Francis and his wife Joyce of East Bridgewater and Leonard J. Francis and his wife Margaret of Lakeville; and many nieces and nephews.
His visiting hours will be held on Saturday, July 16th from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
