John J. Mello, 68, Fountainview Lake Drive, Lakeland, Florida, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at his daughter’s home in Warwick.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John Mello and Mabel LaConte. He had lived in many places before moving to Lakeland, Florida. He was an Inspector for the US Department of Energy before retiring.
He is survived by his children: Cindy Ponte and her husband, Don, of Warwick, John Mello and his wife, Heather of Wawrick, Dawn Marie Keener of Lakeland, FL, Holly Adam of Lakeland, FL and Lucielle Mello of South Carolina, nine grandchildren and his siblings: Ron Mello of Lakeland, Mae Mello of North Carolina, a nephew Ron Mello of Cranston.
The family will be having a private Memorial service.
