Elizabeth Webb
Augusta, GA – Mrs. Elizabeth L. Webb, 93, of Augusta, Ga went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 12, 2016, after a brief illness at DDEMC.
Elizabeth was born in Niederquembach, Germany. She received her nursing diploma from Marburg. After WWII, she worked at the 97th General Army Hospital where she met her husband, James A. Webb. In 1948, they settled in Augusta, GA. She worked at University Hospital, Barrett 1. In the mid 50’s until late 80’s she worked at Saint Joseph Hospital. She was dedicated to her patients, always loved caring for others. Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children: James “Chuck” Webb of Augusta; Carolyn (Robert) Timmerman of Augusta; grandchildren: Bobby (Ashley) Timmerman, Elisa (Jonathan) Holley; great-grandchildren: Kyler Timmerman, Caroline Jernigan, Jack Holley; nephews: Fritz (Elvie) Muller, Rainer (Katyn) Muller; niece: Margret Hecker; and numerous great-nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband: James A. Webb; her parents: Karl and Karoline Zimmerman; her sister: Erna Muller; her brother: Fritz Zimmerman.
A funeral service will be Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Fr. Thadius Kiwera. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Timmerman, Bobby Timmerman, Jonathan Holley, Gary Holley, Johnny Nixon, and Kyler Timmerman.
