Devoted father of David Russell Derenzo of Plymouth, MI and Paul Joseph Derenzo of Norwood. Grandfather of David D. Derenzo, Taylor E. Derenzo, and Marisa J. Derenzo. Brother of Lillian Youdis of Nashville, TN and the late Jerome Derenzo, Margaret Malaguti, and Helen Scalzi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Retired Superintendent of Sydney Construction Co. of Brookline. President of the Gloucester Construction Co. He was also a self employed stone mason. World War II Veteran, U.S. Army and Korean War Veteran, Merchant Marines. Member of the Needham VFW, Lt. Manson H. Carter Post.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., NEEDHAM, Friday, July 15 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home, Thursday, July 14 from 4-7pm. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham.
