Robert David Watkins

Robert David "Bob" Watkins, 83, of Anderson, passed away on July 11, 2016 surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 12, 1932 in Anderson, the son of Harry M. and Mary (Giles) Watkins. He was employed with Delco Remy division of General Motors as an inspector and retired in 1988 after 25 years. He was a member of New Horizon's United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Madaline (Rye) Watkins whom he married on July 2, 1988; 4 children; Barbara (Roger) Roberts, Charles (Diana) Watkins, Phillip Scott Baker and Marshiela (Jim) Scofield, many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Two siblings; Deanna Biddle and Harry Watkins Jr., and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Nina Lever, brother and sister-in-law, Charles Edward and Ollie Watkins, and his first wife Morona (Bohannan) Watkins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2016 at 12 Noon at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service officiated by Pastor John Hackney. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Crossroads United Methodist Church.
