Obituary

Ernest R. “Ernie” Cormier, 63, of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away on Sunday, July 10th, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House after a 3 year battle with cancer.
Ernie was born in Haverhill on June 24th, 1953 and was educated in the Haverhill Schools, he was a 1971 graduate of Haverhill Trade School. Ernie continued his education while working full time and graduated from Necco in 1989. He worked at Agfa Corp for many years before moving onto JP Morgan Chase where he was a VP Production Operations Manager.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Jeannine J. (Gregoire) Cormier, his mother Katherine Muldowney,
His three children Eric Cormier, Jenn Cadorette and Stephanie Cormier. Three Grandchildren Debbie Karampatsos, Justin Currier and Dakota Cormier.
His three sisters Kathy Cormier, Gail Archambault and her husband Mark, Joyce Cormier, his brother Rob Cormier and his wife Laurie. He also has many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a younger brother Lance Cormier and his Father Ernest F. Cormier.
Ernie was an avid sports player. Beginning with little league baseball when his family lived in Virginia Beach. During his trade school years he was known as the 5’tall baseball star on the junior varsity team. In his later years softball became his favorite game. He played for many leagues at the Haverhill Stadium and traveled with many teams for softball tournaments.
His funeral services will be private as requested by the family and arrangements are under the direction of the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., North Andover, Massachusetts.
