Frederick "Fred" Van Beeler, 91, of Anderson passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born on February 12, 1925 in Anderson, the son of William C. and Katherine (Sloan) Beeler. He graduated from Anderson High School and G.M. I. He was employed by Delco Remy division of General Motors for 43 years as an engineer in quality control. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Donald E. Beeler
He is survived by his wife, Janice (Fritz) Beeler, whom he married September 3, 1960, his two children, Elaine S. Beeler and Michael W. (Kelly) Beeler all of Anderson, two step grandchildren, Austin and Hayden Weaver, and his twin brother Franklin K. (wife Jayne) Beeler of Anderson.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Bethany Pointe for their loving care of Fred over the past year and also Dr. Pablo Molina.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Father Daniel Shine. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 11 AM until the time of the service.
Memorial Contributions may be given to St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital or St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
