MILLBURY-Suzette M. (Dionne) Ruby, 72, passed away Saturday, July 9th after a courageous battle with ALS. She leaves two daughters, Michelle M. and her husband Antonio Garcia, Jr. and Nicole M. Ruby all of Wales; four grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Joshua and Analisa; her brother, Leon Dionne of Leicester; her sister, Anne Charbonneau of Bradenton, FL and her nephew, Noel Charbonneau of Bangkok, Thailand.
Suzette was born in Worcester a daughter of Emile and Marguerite (Cameron) Dionne. She grew up in West Boylston and lived in Sutton and Millbury. Suzette graduated with her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Anna Maria College. She spent 40 years as an educator, retiring as a special education teacher at The Henry P. Clough School in Mendon.
Suzette was a member of the Retired Educators Association of Massachusetts, the Westborough Community Chorus, the Friends of Millbury Public Library and The Laughing Quilters. She enjoyed reading, quilting and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 13th from 4:00 until 6:30 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 6:30 at FAY BROTHERS Funeral Home, 1 West Boylston St., West Boylston. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter, 315 Norwood Park South - 1st Floor - Norwood, MA 02062.
