FORTUNES ROCKS (Biddeford)- Lawrence W. Wheeler passed away on July 7, 2016 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine. He was 88 years old. Lawrence was married to wife Lorraine (Shannon) Wheeler for 63 years. They have 3 sons, Lawrence W. Wheeler Jr. his wife Eujanie of Cape Coral, Fl. John J. Wheeler his wife Elmira of Scottsdale AZ. also Michael F. Wheeler of Danville N.H. as well as 1 daughter Patricia who died at childbirth. Lawrence has Granddaughters Susan, Emily and Katelyn, Grandsons John Shannon & Maxwell along with Great Grandchildren Carter, Alexander and Oliver.
Lawrence started working as a repair technician for New England Telephone retiring as a member of senior management at the age of 55. He was a member of the Merchant Marine from 1945-1947 along with being a S/SGT in the U.S.A.F. during the Korean War.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday July 15 at 11 AM at St. Brendan Chapel, 40 Lester Orcutt Blvd, Biddeford Pool. Fr. Ron Labarre will officiate.
