New Bedford – Edna D. (Maynard) Maher, 76, of Westport died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Albert E. Maher.
She was born in Fall River, daughter of the late William H. and Eva C. (Senay) Maynard, and had resided in Westport since 1959. She was a Communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Mrs. Maher was a member of the Our Lady of Grace Senior Citizens. Prior to her retirement in 1989, she was a bookkeeper for various car dealerships in the area.
She is survived by a son: Bruce M. Maher of Cheyenne, WY; a brother: Donald A. Maynard of Westport; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late William, Charles, Edgar, Lawrence and Clarisse Maynard and Rejane Gebo.
Memorial Mass to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, August 13, 2005 at St. George Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
