WORCESTER-Thessie (Douzenis) Eliopoulos, 92 formerly of Fiske Street, died Sunday, July 17th in Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Her husband Peter Eliopoulos died in 1986. She leaves 2 daughters; Joan Pappas of Millersville, PA and Cynthia Eliopoulos of Shrewsbury, 3 sisters; Anastine Karos and Marion Zazopoulos both of Nashua, NH and Emily Gianopoulos of Massachusetts, 2 grandchildren; James Pappas and Julie Ann Dinkel both of Pennsylvania and 3 great-grandchildren; Marina, McElla and Andreas Pappas. Her son Pericles Eliopoulos predeceased her.
She was born in Haverhill the daughter of Pericles and Agora (Zavlianos) Douzenis. Mrs. Eliopoulos had worked as a sales consultant for Elaine’s Dress, Barnard’s Department Store and at the largest bridal shop in Worcester, Marcus. She was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Catherdral.
Funeral services under the direction of O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue will be private.
