PAULINE F. (CHILDERS) SMITH, 89, passed away on July 5, 2016.
Pauline was a spunky, independent, progressive Christian woman who had an amazing sense of humor. She had a huge heart, always making sure that everyone was cared for by generously giving her time to love and care for others.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Maldon Smith, Sr. and her son, Maldon “Duke” Smith, Jr.
Survivors include her grandchildren, Emily Smith (Dianna Ford), Robert Smith (Deni Jo) and William Scott Smith (Anne); great grandchildren, Liam, Kaleb, Grayson, Charlie and Sarah; her brothers, Bob Childers (Bee Gee Donovan) and Eddie Childers (Joyce Hazel); sisters, Mary Ann Hibbs and Jean Carby (Bob); several nieces and nephews; and her devoted pet “Silver”.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday.
