Thomas Ferry Sr, 86, of Fall River, passed away July 4, 2016. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Cabral) Ferry and the son of the late Augustus Ferry and Mary (Costa) Ferry. Thomas served in the United States AirForce. In his early years he worked for various construction and transportation companies. He owned and operated Barboza Oil, and was a Plant Engineer at Newport Finishing before retiring from UMASS Dartmouth (formally SMU) as an Electrician.
He is survived by his children Joanne Bergeron (husband Robert Sr.) of Westport, Louise Desrosiers (late husband John), Thomas Ferry Jr, all of Fall River, Michael Ferry (fiancé Betty Ann Dias) and Jacqueline Miranda (husband Randy), all of Swansea. Grandchildren: Stephanie Pacheco (husband Richard), Robert Bergeron Jr and Michael Bergeron (girlfriend Stephanie Matos), Jeremy Buchanan (wife Kelly) and Christian Buchanan, Jonathan Ferry (girlfriend Katrina Von-Weiffenbach) and Timothy Ferry, Nicole and Danielle Miranda; 7 Great Grandchildren. Siblings: late Henry Ferry, Lenora Moniz, Beatrice Macomber, William Ferry and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Friday here at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Name Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Thursday from 4-8 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
