Bernice Lipp, age 94, passed away peacefully at the Sunnyside Nursing Home in Sarasota, FL after a brief illness. Born in Boston, MA, Bernice resided in Tewksbury, MA for more than 60 years before moving to Sarasota to live with her daughter.
Bernice retired from the Millipore Corporation in Bedford, MA, and enjoyed playing bingo for most of her life because of the friends she made and the camaraderie it created. She was also a Tewksbury poll worker for many years. She loved singing, and participated in several St. William’s variety shows.
Bernice loved her family and is survived by her children, Carol Roane (John) of Sarasota, FL, and William A. Lipp of Tewksbury, MA; grandchildren William J. Lipp of Tewksbury, MA; Christopher Roane of Tampa, FL; Dawn Vosburg of Tyngsborough, MA; and Timothy Roane of Venice, FL ; great grandchildren; Dawson and Carter Vosburg, and Dylan, Cameron and Rylan Roane.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 22 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 pm at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950, followed by burial at 1:30 p.m. in the Tewksbury Cemetery. visit www.tewksburyfuneralhome.com
