Gerard P. Ryan passed away at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in the company of his loving family. He was 54. Raised in Scituate, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Roberts) Ryan. He studied graphic design in college and was a talented artist. He worked in the printing industry. A Somerville resident for over 25 years, Gerard was devoted to his family and friends. He enjoyed the ocean and scuba-dived with friends. He loved to fish in the ocean and fresh water and enjoyed spending time golfing.
He was the beloved husband of Diane (Peracchi) Ryan, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage and was a loving father to Dylan L. Ryan. The dear brother of Michael Ryan of FL, Ann Marie Goff of Scituate, and Kathleen Ryan of Easton, he was a dear brother-in-law of Paula Terrio, Carla Tassinari and John Peracchi. He also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.
