Obituary


PEABODY - Mark J. Latacz, 63, of Peabody, husband of Malgorzata (Koziol) Latacz, lost his long time battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born and raised in Wroclaw, Poland, he was the son of the late Wladyslaw and Anna (Zylinska) Latacz. He came to the United States in the late 1970's.

Mark was a self employed contractor and owned and operated Mark’s Home Improvements for over 30 years. He was well known in the Polish community and he always liked to help others. He is remembered as funny and outgoing with a heart of gold.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Kacper Latacz of Peabody, a sister, Krystyna Smola of Peabody, a niece and her family, Elizabeth and husband, Steven Johns and their children, Michael and Nicole, a nephew and his wife, Gregory and Amanda Smola of Peabody.

Services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 8:45 AM from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by Memorial Mass at 10 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church, 28 St. Peter Street, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. A Committal service will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Cedar Grove Avenue, Peabody. Please omit flowers.
