John Joseph Amaroce Claveau Jr, 77, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Villa Rancho Bernardo Skilled Nursing Facility in San Diego, California. Born August 4, 1938 in Manchester, New Hampshire to John and Leonie (Deziel) Claveau. John was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served with distinction in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. After he retired from military service he owned and operated three successful hair salons in Hampton Roads, Virginia. He leaves behind his sister; Doris McFadden; his son Mark Claveau and wife Debbie; daughters, Celeste Johnson and husband Jeff, Lisa Bannon and husband Mike, and Tonya Genovese and husband Matt, 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Theresa (Claveau) Cote, in 1979, who died at the age of 45. Services will be held on Saturday, July 2 at 12:30 pm at the Miramar National Cemetery, where he will be interred with military honors.
