Mr. Allen J. Askew, of Taunton, died Wednesday, June 29 in Morton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Tracy A. (Morin), who was the love of his life. He was born 58 years ago in Fall River, the son of Helen (Janeiro) Askew and the late Gifford Askew. He was educated in Fall River and had been a Taunton resident for the past 5 years. Prior to his illness, Allen was employed as a boilermaker for various area industries. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and building bikes.
In addition to his wife, of Taunton, and his mother, of Fall River, he leaves: 1 stepdaughter: Briana Ryan of Ma.; 1 brother: Gifford, Jr. of Fall River; his mother-in-law, Ruth Burke of Taunton; 1 niece: Laura (Joshua) Eaton of Fall River and 2 grandnieces: Janessa and Leigha Eaton. Allen also leaves Ty, Bela and Jackson, who considered him their father. He was also the uncle of the late Nelly Eaton.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Saturday, July 9 at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, July 8, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
