FALL RIVER – Daniel S. Ferreira Jr., age 70 of Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Mary Connie (Silvia) Ferreira and the son of the late Daniel & Gertrude (Carvalho) Ferreira. Prior to retiring, Daniel worked at Raytheon for 35 years in the Maintenance Dept. He was an avid Red Sox fan and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepchildren: Debra Souza (husband Mike) of Dighton, Tonya Nunnelly (husband Butch) of Somerset, Christine Lema (husband Larry) of N. Kingstown, RI, Donna Macomber of Tiverton, RI, Kimberly Aguiar (husband Stephen) of Portsmouth, RI, Richard Costa of Texas, and the late Gilbert Costa; grandchildren: Debra Lee, Robbie, Shawn, Andrew, Kenny, Kyle, Caitlin, Corey, & Abbey; great grandchildren: Robert, Ayden, Cash, & Evangelina; 2 brothers.
His funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Saturday, July 2nd at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation on Saturday morning from 8:30-10:00 A.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
