Donna A. (Froio) DeLena passed away on June 29, 2016. She was 54 years old.
Donna was a longtime resident of Malden and a graduate of Malden High School class of 1980. She worked for over 30 years for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, most recently for the Department of Workforce Development.
Donna was the devoted wife of 28 years to Louis “Lou” DeLena. She was the beloved daughter of John and Judy (Lemmo) Froio of Malden. Donna was the loving sister of Diane Weldon and her husband Derek of Georgetown, John A. Froio and his wife Cheryl of Tewksbury, and Derek Froio of Lynnfield, and sister in-law of Charlene Callahan and her husband James of Chelsea. Donna was the dear aunt of Aislinn, Sinead, and Sean Weldon, John A. Froio III, Cassandra and Andrew Froio.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday July 2nd at 9:00a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Joseph’s Church 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10:00a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday July 1st from 3-8p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
