Anna K. Flaherty of Woburn passed away peacefully at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading early June 29, 2016. She was 95 years of age. Anna was the beloved wife of Robert J. Flaherty together sharing 62 years of marriage. Born in Everett she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances (Hoore) Gallavan.
Anna was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. She also attended business school for a few years following her graduation. As a young woman Anna worked for a short period of time at the former Malden Hospital. Once married and settled down Anna devoted herself to her growing family and making sure her home was always a warm and welcoming place for the family to be together. Anna loved life and nothing gave her more joy than caring for the needs of her family and being a wonderful homemaker. Anna was an avid sports fan and especially loved listening to opera music.
In addition to her late parents, Anna is sadly predeceased by her son, John Flaherty.
Along with her beloved husband, Anna is survived by her devoted children, Kevin Flaherty, Joanne Doucette, and Brian Flaherty, all of Woburn. She was the loving grandmother of Mike and Jason Doucette. Anna is also survived by 3 loving great grandchildren.
In keeping with Anna's wishes funeral services will be private. Arrangement entrusted to the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, Woburn.
