KEOUGH – WILLIAM R. – In Venice Florida, formerly of Fitchburg, July 16, 2005, suddenly, age 63. Beloved son of Rita F. (Minahan) of West Roxbury and the late William A. (Boston Police Det). Dear father of Sean Z. Keough and wife Janel of Salem and Leyla J. Keough of Northampton. Brother of Atty. Paul G. Keough of Roslindale and the late Robert P. Keough. Caring uncle of 8. A compassionate friend and cherished teacher, he was a graduate of Harvard University (class of 1963). He further received an MfA at the Iowa Writers Workshop (1969) and a PhD from University of Massachusetts, Amherst (1976). Bill was a writer and poet who worked as a Professor of English and Irish Literature at Fitchburg State College for over 25 years. Funeral from the William J. Gormley funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury on Thursday July 21 at 9am followed by a funeral mass in St. Theresa Church, 2078 Centre St. West Roxbury at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends invited. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to William R.
