Obituary

Raymond Niles Linscott passed away peacefully at the Somerville Hospital at the age of 81 on Monday, June 27th. Born and raised in Lowell, he was the son of the late Frank H. and Helen (Sypien) Linscott. Ray served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He lived in Somerville for over 57 years and worked as a construction foreman with the William Earle & Son Construction Co. Ray loved his family. He also loved football. He spent endless hours with his grandchildren and enjoyed their successes and was their biggest fan. He enjoyed following high school football and cheered at the sidelines as Everett High enjoyed years of success.


The beloved husband of Marie (Colosi) Linscott, he was a devoted father of Linda Linscott and her husband John Lewis of Malden and Lisa Scolaro and her husband Brian of Everett. He was a loving grandfather to Jacob, Leigh-Ann, Taylor, Derek, Bradley, and Rose as well as a dear brother of the late Frank Linscott and his late wife Jane Linscott.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday July 2nd at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Ray’s name to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, 02241-7005.
