Eleanor DeCourcey passed away at home on June 22nd. She was 65. Raised in Medford she was the daughter of the late John and Abbie (O'Neil) Callahan. A resident of Wakefield for the past five years, she was a proud longtime Medford resident. She worked as a legal secretary until her retirement. Eleanor was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed time with her family and friends.
The devoted mother of Tracy Cleversey of Wakefield, J. Ryan DeCourcey and his wife Catherine of Billerica, Bridgette Pereira and her husband Nivaldo of Billerica, she was a loving grandmother to Patrick, Holly, Jack, Thomas, Harrison, Reagan and Isabella. She was the sister of Joan LaChance, and the late John, James and William Callahan.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday July 1st at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Saint Raphael Church, 514 High Street, Medford, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8 PM.
