Chester M. MacMillan, 85, died Sunday, July 17 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a long period of failing health. He was the faithful companion of Elizabeth “Betty” Murphy of Stoughton. Born in Boston, he was a graduate of Milton Schools. He was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. Mr. MacMillan was the owner of MacMillan Floor Services for many years. He retired several years ago. In his free time, he enjoyed motorcycle riding, camping, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his companion, he is survived by his children, Chester M. MacMillan, Jr. and Linda Pratt both of VA. He was the brother of Alberta Kirkpatrick of PA and Rose Rodrigues of VA. He was predeceased by his wife Pearl (Draper). She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Thursday at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 PM.
