Samuel T. Iannuzzi, 84, of Derry, NH, died Tuesday June 28, 2016, in his home. A 40-year resident of Derry, NH, he was born in Cambridge, MA on February 27, 1932. The son of the late Samuel and Lucy (Medeiros) Iannuzzi and brother to Louise Ebbs and Robert Iannuzzi (deceased), Sam spent his childhood in Cambridge and Somerville, MA. Mr. Iannuzzi served proudly in the Korean War as a member of the U.S. Army. In his post-war career, he was Chief Armorer of the Cambridge, MA Armory. Sam enjoyed puttering around the house and yard, watching movies and race horses, and sharing his love of nature and history with his family. He brought his unique sense of humor and love of laughter to many family events. His greatest love was for his family, and he found particular joy in doting on his grandchildren.
Mr. Iannuzzi is survived by his much beloved wife Patricia (Naves) Iannuzzi of Derry; three sons, David Iannuzzi of Hampstead, NH, Michael Iannuzzi of Derry, NH, Jason Iannuzzi of Hampstead, NH; three daughters, Lisa Ford of Boiling Springs, SC, Jennifer Rieflin of Rochester, NY, Cheryl Innes of Manchester, NH; his sister, Louise Ebbs of Bellingham, MA; nineteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 4 to 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry. Funeral services were held on Friday at 10 am in the funeral home.
