BOSTON – Michael John Corrao of East Taunton, husband of Shirley (Desrosiers) Corrao, died at Tufts Medical Center on June 25, 2016. He was 68.
Born, raised, and educated in Dorchester, he was the son of Josephine (Micale) Corrao of Raynham and her late husband Michael Joseph Corrao.
He owned and operated Whittenton Lighting for many years, retiring in 2011. A loving and caring man, Michael was devoted to his family. He was a long time member of the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club.
In addition to his wife and mother, he leaves two sons, Jason Corrao and his wife Michelle, and Michael Corrao and his wife Katherine, all of Taunton; one daughter, Heather Giordano of East Taunton; one brother, Paul Corrao of Bridgewater; four grandchildren, Isabella Corrao, Sophia Corrao, Maia Giordano, and Niko Giordano; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Kenneth Corrao.
His funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church on Wednesday, July 6th at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling hours will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Tuesday, July 5th from 4 to 7 p.m.
