James Pryce Ray, 77, passed away Sunday June 26, 2016 at Norton’s Hosparus Inpatient Care.
Jim was a Senior Supervisor for the Louisville Water Company and retired after 31 years. He was an avid camper and fisherman. He loved the Kentucky Wildcats and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris; and brother, Larry.
Survivors include his children; Michael ( Deanna),Stephan, Pam Baxter , Tim, Cathy York, Karen Anderson, Brenda Palmer (Keith), Paula Carnes, Tommy Pollard (Peggy), Marlene Austin (Dave), Phyllis Vittitoe, Michael Nash (Lori); sister, Norma Snellen; and sister-in-law, Kathy Ray; Twenty five grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Lacey.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Hosparus of Louisville for the loving care.
His funeral will be 10 am Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial at Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the ALS Association Ky. Chapter, or Hosparus of Louisville.
