Carbone, Victor A. “Zeke” - of Winthrop, June 26, 2016, he was 71 years old. Devoted father of Anna-Rose Carbone of North Anson, ME & Laurie Schmitz of Virginia Beach, VA. Loving brother of Guy Carbone and his wife Diane of Winthrop & Marie Cammarata and her husband Phil of Salem, NH, also survived 4 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, 210 Winthrop St., WINTHROP on Friday, July 1, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Thurs. June 30th. from 4-8 PM. Interment will be in Winthrop Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Victor’s memory may be made to Rosie’s Place, 889 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118. Victor was a retired U.S. Postal Manager for the US Post Office with over 25 plus year of service. He was the former manager of Harvard Sq. Post Office in Cambridge. Victor helped start the first postal store of the future for the post office, selling anything related to postal shipping & mailing. After his retirement he opened a Mail Boxes Etc. Store in the Redstone Shopping Center in Stoneham for 5 years. Victor was one of the leading speakers for the Toastmaster International, he was also one of the leading speakers in the nation. At one time Victor had his own talk show that broadcasted on local access television channel in Massachusetts. Victor had a love for Elvis Presley music, and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
