TAUNTON – Marcelino DeMedeiros, husband of the late Pulqueria (DoCouto) Medeiros, died at South East Rehab in N. Easton on June 26, 2016. He was 83.
Born in Povoacao, St. Miguel, Acores, he was the son of the late Joseph and Laura (Pimentel) DeMedeiros.
Mr. DeMedeiros was a lifelong resident of Taunton and was employed as an order picker for Swank, retiring in 1995 at the age of 62. A communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, he was very loving, caring and devoted to his family.
Survivors include a son, Robert Medeiros and his wife Maria of Norton; a daughter, Joanne Medeiros-Pimentel and her husband Paulo of Norton; two sisters, Theresa Moniz of Somerset and Gilda Franco of Fall River; four grandchildren, Ashlee and Mathew Medeiros and Andrew and Ryan Pimentel. He was also brother to the late Manuel Medeiros.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Thursday, June 30th from 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wed., June 29th from 5 to 8 p.m.
