Regina "Reggie" M. (Wood) (Smith) Curtis, 84, of Derry, NH died peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Parkland Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Westford, MA on December 31, 1931, daughter of the late Francis Wood and Mary (Murray) Wood.
Reggie enjoyed spending time with her family as well as gardening, Bingo, Keno and her bus trips to Foxwoods. She was an avid New England sports fan, but she especially enjoyed watching the Red Sox and rarely missed a game.
She is survived by her daughter, Nikki L. (Smith) Hanright and her two grandchildren, Daniel J. Hanright and Shannen L. Hanright, both of Derry. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia (Wood) Roberge of Dracut, MA. Her sister Mary (Wood) Gilday of Lowell, MA predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her husband, Joseph "Gordon" Curtis in 2006.
Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 6th from 5 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A memorial service will follow at 7:00pm in the funeral home.
