Mary A. Vesey Mulrennan, 82, of Candia, NH, died peacefully Saturday June 25, 2016, in Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. Mary was born in Boston, MA on April 11, 1934, a daughter of the late Michael and Hannah (Sullivan) Clifford. Mary proudly worked as a registered nurse for VNA of Rockingham for over 41 years.
Mary was devoted to her family. Widowed at a young age, she raised 4 children while working full time as a visiting nurse. She supported her children and their friends in their many sports and activities. Whether it was coaching as the first woman Little League coach in NH, booster clubs or cheering them from the sidelines she was always there for them. Mary's passions included entertaining children as part of a clown troop as well as breeding and showing world class Norwegian Forest Cats. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her legacy of love and support lives on through them.
Family members include one sister, Joan (Clifford) Kelly of Stoughton MA and her husband Paul ; one brother, Patrick Clifford of Duxbury MA and his wife Pauline; She had 3 sons, William Vesey of Candia and his wife Jennifer; Kevin Vesey of Merrimack and his wife Linda; John Vesey of Mullica Hill NJ and his wife Sandra; and one daughter, Maureen (Vesey) Deluca of Derry and her husband John; stepchildren Mike Mulrennan, Brian Mulrennan, James Mulrennan; 15 grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by one sister Noreen (Clifford) Flynn, and 2 husbands, William Vesey, Sr. and James Mulrennan.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, June 30, 2016, from 4 to 8 pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday July 1, 2016 at 10:00 am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry, NH. The burial followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Gilcreast Road, Londonderry, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to New Hampshire SPCA, 104 Portsmouth Ave, Stratham, NH 03885.
