In Brockton, June 25, 2016 Patricia V. (Westgate) Blackwell, age 60, passed away following a brief illness in Good Samaritan Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in Middleboro, Ma, the daughter of the late Albion & Alice (Balboni) Westgate. She had resided in Taunton most of her life and was educated in both Middleboro and Taunton schools. Patricia worked as a care worker for the Commonwealth of MA for 29 years. She enjoyed doing word searches, playing bingo, visiting casinos and above all cherished her family, especially her grandson Joshua. Patricia leaves her loving children Shaun Blackwell and Sheena Blackwell both of East Taunton and her late son Joseph R. Blackwell. She also leaves her grandson Joshua Blackwell and her brother David A. Westgate of Kingston. She also leaves her cousin and lifelong friend Debbie "Momma" Jordan of East Taunton. Patricia also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. and her work family. A funeral home service will be celebrated on Thursday, June 30th at 11 am. at the O’Keefe-wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St. Taunton, Ma 02780 Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Weds from 4-7 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
