Rosa M. (Hernandez) Silva, 52, of Westport died Friday, June 24, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Joaquim O. "Jack" Silva.
Born in New Bedford, she was step-daughter of the late Miguel Roman and daughter of Primo Rios of New Bedford and the late Maria (Martinez) Roman. She was a registered nurse for various hospitals in the area. Mrs. Silva enjoyed going to the beach and gardening, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Including her husband and father, she is survived by a son: Jacob T. Silva of Westport; a daughter: Bethany R. Silva of Westport; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 8:30 - 10:30 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
