Rev. Daulton Jackson Blanchard, Jr., 86, of Tifton passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Eldridge Turner and the Rev. Kelly Anderson officiating. Rev. Blanchard will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 28, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Cody Abbott, McKenzie Webb, Phillip Boyd, Dustin Blanchard, Brandon Sutton and Travis Walker will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Garron Webb, Larry Boyd, Jr. and Mason Pyles.
Born September 1, 1929 in Worth County, Rev. Blanchard was the son of the late Daulton Jackson Blanchard, Sr. and Addie Lee Bailey Blanchard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruthie Mae Revels Blanchard; one brother, Gene Blanchard; and three sisters, Austene Ladson, Faye Taylor and Clyde Salter. He was retired and worked at the grist mill at the Georgia Agrirama. He was a member of the Poulan Church of God of Prophecy. He loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Rev. Blanchard is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, Marvin Blanchard, Bobby and Elaine Blanchard and Tony and Diane Blanchard, all of Irwin County and Jimmy Lee and Bobbie Blanchard of Cook County; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Bill Abbott of Tift County; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Tracey Blanchard of Worth County, Herbert and Barbara Blanchard and Ray and Linda Blanchard, all of Dougherty County and Charles Blanchard of Lee County; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Louise Hatcher, Trellie and George Stewart and Gail and Ricky Godwin, all of Dougherty County; a special friend, Hazel Hatcher of Worth County; 28 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
