Arthur J. Henault, 96, passed away Saturday June 25, 2016 at the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Berlin. He was born in Montreal, P.Q., Canada on March 6, 1920 the son of Elie and Clara (Blais) Henault. He was raised in Canada and moved to the United States in 1955, and resided in the Berlin and Gorham area since. Arthur worked as a mechanic employed by many local garages including Robichaud Garage, Orino Motors, Glen Motors and lastly for Red’s Auto Body. He was a member of Holy Family Church in Gorham and enjoyed fishing, spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee, the ocean and enjoyed his gardening.
Family members include his daughter Claudette Binette and husband Andre of Gorham, NH; son Michael Henault and wife Holly of Sarasota, FL; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a niece, a nephew and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Bertha Henault in 2003, a brother Armand Henault, and sister Madeleine Renault.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday June 30, 2016 at 11am at Holy Family Church, Church Street, Gorham, NH. Interment will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery in Gorham, there will be no calling hours, friends and relatives are asked to meet directly at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arthur’s memory can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Activities Fund, 29 Providence Ave., Berlin, NH 03570.
