BEVERLY: John E. “Skip” Haibon, 66, died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of Sharon L. (Crampsey) Haibon.
Born in Chelsea on June 24, 1949, he was the son of John E., Sr. and Alicia (Lojko) Haibon of Beverly. He was a graduate of Beverly High School class of 1967 and had resided in Danvers for many years before returning to Beverly in 1993.
Skip was employed as a machinist at the General Electric Company in Lynn for over twenty years. He was an avid Boston Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots fan.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Sabino and her husband, Michael and Kira Adams and her husband, Billy all of Peabody; two sons, Eric Haibon and his wife, Kara of Danvers and Trevor Haibon of Beverly; nine grandchildren, Michaela, Courtney, Rebecca and Michael Sabino, Erica and Samantha Haibon and Justin, Joey and Olivia Adams; two sisters, Sally Pietrini and her husband, Jack of Beverly and Beth Carrigan and her husband, Charlie of S. Hamilton; a brother, David Haibon and his wife, Johanna of Danvers; a step-daughter, Darlene Greeley and her husband, Steve and their daughter, Melanie Greeley and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 29th at the Vittori Rocci Post #56, 143 Brimbal Ave., Beverly from 5 – 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
