Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ann. Survived by wife Gloria; daughter Kymm (Dee) Schroetter, son Craig "Duke", and daughter Lisa (Patrick) Doyle; grandchildren, Taylor, Kylie, Dugan, and Tucker; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was a member of the Mahtomedi American Legion 507 and the Voiture 44 of Forest Lake and a Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was a talented artist, craftsman and will be deeply missed. Special thank you to St. Croix Hospice for their loving care and constant support. Memorial service, 11:30 AM, Wednesday, June 29th at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, with a gathering beginning at 10 AM. A private interment will be Thursday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to St. Croix Hospice.
