Obituary

DIGHTON – Laura C. (Constantine) Goulart, age 87 of Dighton, wife of 67 years to the late George L. Goulart, Sr., died at the Life Care Center of Raynham on June 23, 2016.
She passed within 26 days of her beloved husband George.
Born, raised, and educated in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Monteiro) Constantine.
Employed as an executive secretary for the Geilich Tannery for many years, she was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Somerset.
Laura was a recipient of the Marian Medal, president of the St. Peter’s Women’s Guild, and she enjoyed housekeeping and reading.
She is survived by her son, George Goulart, Jr; of North Dighton; two daughters, Sharon Lewis of Taunton, and Debra A. Fernandes of Needham; one brother, Arnold Constantine of Dighton; three grandchildren, Brad, Ronald and Jocelyn; four great grandchildren, Sawyer, Connor, Harbor, and Haven; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Joshua Lewis, the sister of the late Louis Constantine, Alvin Constantine, and Frances Hayden.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 28th in St. Patrick Church 306 South St. Somerset at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held at the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Taunton on Monday, June 27th from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dighton Children’s Library Activities, checks payable to the Town of Dighton and Mailed to 395 Main St. Dighton, MA 02715.
